About cemtpp
Objectives

The Center's objectives are to:

  • Offer a concentration in International Energy Management and Policy in the two master's degree programs at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. Students gain a thorough understanding of energy and marine transportation fundamentals and related public policy.
  • Provide training programs for executives and professionals to enhance their ability to deal effectively with complex economic, political and social issues confronting the energy industries.
  • Sponsor conferences, media briefings and other activities on aspects of energy and marine transportation for the Columbia University community, industry leaders, policymakers, the media and the public.
  • Provide a forum for scholars, government officials and energy professionals to discuss energy policy in an informal environment that is conducive to an open exchange of ideas.
  • Provide support for applied energy and marine transportation policy research.
